Welcome to Alaska's Creekclan, a clan of hunting and culture. To learn more about us, just take a look around the blog!

Predators

In Alaska, I don't think you're really gonna find any badgers around there. So here's a list of common predatory animals.

Bear
Large, brown grizzlies. Probably one of the first animals that comes to mind when you think of Alaska. There's basically almost no way of fighting against one of these things when you're a cat (looking at you, powerplayers). So our clan just tries our best to avoid them. Very, very rarely one will wander into our camp. We try to evacuate when that happens, and they usually end up raiding the fresh-kill pile when we do so. Thankfully, these creatures hibernate during the winter, which is our harshest season.

Osprey, Hawks, and Eagles
All being birds of prey, they could easily snatch away a kit or even a full-grown warrior. Just be careful! Luckily, ospreys tend to hang around lakes and not creeks. But still.

Wolves
There are no wolf packs close to the camp, but sometimes a lone wolf will wander into our territory. They are to be scared off or fought by a group of 6-8 warriors.

Wolverines
Yikes! These things are like super-badgers. Many, many warriors will be needed to fight one of these. But don't worry, they generally stay clear of us.

Lynxes
Isn't our list of dangerous predators already long enough? And just to think wherever the 4 clans are, Thunderclan is whining about foxes... ಠ_ಠ Anyway, back to lynxes. They sometimes will roam the forests, up in the trees or on the ground.  Don't confuse them for another clan cat, because that would be bad. Although they are large and predatory, they can actually speak a little bit of clan cat. Believe it or not, they use that to their advantage and are actually very sly creatures. The elders always tell a tale of an apprentice who was hunting alone, and they were confronted by a lynx. The lynx told the cat that they would offer her warmth and safety if she followed him. The lynx lured the apprentice far away from the clan, then killed and ate the unlucky cat. So... yeah.

  1. I have an idea. Maybe a new page could be about the hazards in Alaska, like moose because of stampedes.
