Welcome to Alaska's Creekclan, a clan of hunting and culture. To learn more about us, just take a look around the blog!

Dens

I see, you're new and you want to learn which dens are which. Or maybe you're just wandering around, happened to stumble upon this blog, and were curious about our camp. Whatever your case is, we have a little tour of the dens in Creekclan.

Leader's Den
Although very informal and not even really a "den," this is where the leader sleeps. Under the tree next to the highstump (just pretend it's a tree stump, okay? :U), she curls up at night or brings cats under there to discuss important matters privately.

Medicine Cat's Den
This is where the medicine cat (and apprentice if they have one) sleep and treat wounded or ill cats. This is the most concealed and protected den out of all of the others because our climate is extremely cold and snowy. Cats who are ill can easily die from this weather, so the inside is insulated with lichen and mosses.

Warriors' Den
The warriors sleep here at night or shelter in here during blizzards. Since majority of the members of Creekclan are warriors, this den is built largely so many can fit in here at once.

Apprentices' Den
Small and cozy, this is where the apprentices will nestle themselves when the sun falls. Because they are young, a lot of small talk will occur in this den when a group of apprentices ends up in here.

Nursery
This is where expecting and nursing queens stay. Kits will be in here until they are 6 moons old, usually urging their mothers to let them move into the apprentices' den before that age. This den is the second most insulated of all the dens in Creekclan, because kits are probably the most likely to become ill due to harsh climates.

Elders' Den
If you're reaching that age when you feel you're just not "up" to being a warrior, then you get to retire into this den. Elders are some of the most experienced cats in Creekclan, and have so many stories to tell. They are rich with information, and could probably tell you all about their first hunt, or how a mother goose once chased them down. Since culture is a big part of this clan, sometimes kits are not the only ones to listen to their telling of tales.
